Paver Installation in Crestview, FL
Driveways, patios, walkways, and pool surrounds set on a properly compacted base, so they still look straight in ten years. Licensed and insured, with the owner on site.

Pavers that stay put, because the base was built right
A paver job in Crestview or anywhere on the Emerald Coast lives or dies underground. The pavers you can see are the easy part. The compacted base under them, the edge restraint around them, and the way water moves through the sand bed decide whether your patio is still flat in five years or has a wave in it by next summer. L&N Professional Services installs paver driveways, patios, walkways, pool decks, and entries for homeowners and businesses across Okaloosa, Santa Rosa, Escambia, and Walton counties, and we spend more time on the base than most people spend on the whole job.
We also pour concrete and do stamped concrete, so when you ask us which one is right for your project, you get a straight answer instead of a pitch for the only thing we sell.
What we install
- Paver driveways and driveway extensions, with a base deep enough for trucks and trailers
- Patios and outdoor kitchens in running bond, herringbone, or a pattern you pick from the yard
- Pool decks and pool surrounds with a non-slip surface and drainage that keeps water off the house
- Walkways, steps, and front entries that match the house instead of fighting it
- Retaining and seat walls in matching block to finish the space (see block and masonry)
- Paver repair and relaying where an old installation has settled or washed out
How a paver job goes with L&N
- Site visit and layoutWe walk the area with you, talk through pattern and color, and look at where water goes. You get a firm written quote, usually within one business day.
- ExcavationWe dig to the right depth for what the pavers will carry: more for a driveway, less for a walkway. Soft or wet soil gets removed, not buried.
- Base and compactionCrushed base goes in and gets compacted in lifts, not all at once. This is the step that decides whether the job lasts, and it is the step people cut when they are racing to a cheap price.
- Bedding sand and edge restraintA screeded sand bed sets the final grade. Edge restraint locks the perimeter so the field cannot spread.
- Setting, cutting, and locking inPavers are laid to the pattern, cut cleanly at the edges, then compacted into the bed with joint sand swept in. Sealing is optional and quoted separately.
When pavers are the right call
- You want the look of a patterned surface without the maintenance of individual stones
- There are utilities or a septic line under the area and you want to be able to lift a section later
- An existing paver patio has sunk, shifted, or sprouted weeds and needs to be relaid on a real base
- You are building a pool deck and want something cooler underfoot and less slick than smooth concrete
- You want the driveway to match a paver walkway or entry the house already has
What pavers cost in Crestview
Two paver patios the same size can be very different jobs. What moves the price:
- Base depth. Driveways need a thicker compacted base than a patio.
- Paver choice. Standard concrete pavers cost less than thick, textured, or large-format styles.
- Pattern. Herringbone and multi-size patterns take more cutting than running bond.
- Tear-out. Removing old concrete or old pavers is its own job.
- Access. Whether materials can be delivered next to the work or have to be wheeled in.
- Sealing and walls. Both optional, both quoted separately.
We do not quote blind. We come look at it, measure it, and hand you one written number that covers the whole job. If something changes after we break ground, you hear about it before it costs you anything.
Why people around the Emerald Coast call L&N for pavers
Plenty of crews will lay pavers for cash. The difference with L&N is that we are a licensed and insured Florida LLC, so if something goes wrong on your property you are covered, and we have been operating under the same name since 2021. The owner quotes the job and runs the crew that builds it. And because we also pour concrete, lay block, and clear and grade land, one call covers the whole outdoor project instead of three.
Paver questions we get asked most
Are pavers or concrete better for a driveway in Florida?
Both work well here when the base is done right. Pavers cost more up front but can be lifted and relaid if a section settles or a utility has to be dug up. Concrete is cheaper per square foot and faster to install. We do both, so we will tell you honestly which one fits your budget and your lot.
Why do pavers sink or shift?
Almost always a base problem: not enough compacted base, no edge restraint, or poor drainage under the sand bed. Sandy Panhandle soil makes compaction even more important. We excavate to the right depth, compact the base in lifts, and lock the edges so the field stays tight.
How long does a paver patio take to install?
A typical patio or walkway is two to four days depending on size and access. Driveways run longer. You can walk on pavers the same day they are set and drive on them once the joint sand is swept and compacted.
Do you seal pavers?
We can. Sealing deepens the color and makes stains easier to clean, and around a pool we recommend a sealer with a non-slip additive. It is optional and we will quote it separately so you can decide.
What do pavers cost in Crestview?
The paver itself is only part of it. Base prep, excavation, edge restraint, pattern complexity, and whether old concrete has to come out first all move the number. We come look, measure, and give you one written price for the whole job.
