Stamped and Decorative Concrete in Crestview and Fort Walton Beach

Plain concrete doesn't have to look plain. Stamped patterns, color, and decorative finishes for patios, pool decks, driveways, and entryways. More durable than pavers and a lot more affordable than most people expect.

Decorative concrete that looks like stone and acts like a slab

Stamped concrete is regular, structural concrete with a texture pressed into the surface while it is still soft, and color worked in so it reads as flagstone, slate, brick, wood plank, or cobblestone. You get the look of a stone patio with the strength and low upkeep of a single poured slab. L&N Professional Services installs stamped and decorative concrete across Crestview, Fort Walton Beach, Niceville, and the rest of Okaloosa County, for backyards, pool decks, front entries, and driveways.

Decorative work is where craftsmanship shows or doesn't. Timing the stamp, keeping the pattern aligned across a 400 square foot patio, and getting color consistent from one truck to the next is a two-person job done with care. That is what we are built for.

Finishes we offer

  • Stamped patterns: ashlar slate, random flagstone, cobblestone, running-bond brick, wood plank, seamless texture skins
  • Integral color mixed into the concrete, plus release and accent colors for depth
  • Borders and bands in a contrasting pattern or color to frame a patio or driveway
  • Broom and swirl finishes for a cleaner, modern look with real traction
  • Exposed aggregate for walkways and pool surrounds
  • Sealing, including non-slip additives for wet areas

How a stamped concrete job goes

  1. Design visitYou show us a photo of the look you like, we bring pattern and color samples, and we measure. You get a firm written quote.
  2. Base and formsSame as any slab we pour: soft soil out, compacted base in, forms set square and to grade so water runs away from the house and off the pool deck.
  3. Pour and colorIntegral color is batched into the mix. Concrete is placed, screeded, and floated. We watch the set closely, because stamping too early or too late ruins the detail.
  4. StampingRelease agent goes down, then the stamps, worked across the slab in a planned sequence so the pattern lines up and the grout lines stay straight. Edges and tight spots are hand-tooled.
  5. Joints, wash, and sealControl joints are cut where the pattern hides them best. After curing, we pressure wash the excess release and apply a sealer, with grit for traction where feet will be wet.

When stamped concrete is the right call

  • You want a patio or pool deck that looks finished without the weeds and ant hills that come up between pavers
  • Your front entry is a plain gray walkway and the house deserves better
  • You are pouring a new driveway anyway and want a border or a full pattern for not much more
  • You priced pavers or natural stone and the number made you sit down
  • You want the backyard done in days, not weeks

What decorative concrete costs

Stamped concrete runs more than a plain broom-finish slab because of the color, the release, the stamps, the sealer, and mostly the labor and timing. It usually comes in under a comparable paver or stone install. What moves the number:

  • Square footage and the shape of the area (curves and tight corners take more hand work)
  • Pattern complexity and whether you add a contrasting border
  • Color system: single integral color vs. multiple accent colors
  • Site prep and any tear-out of an existing slab or deck
  • Sealer type and non-slip additive

Bring us a photo of a patio you love. We will tell you how to get that look, what it will cost, and where you can save without it showing.

Why L&N for decorative concrete

Big concrete outfits make their money on volume: flatwork, foundations, commercial pours. Decorative work is slow and fussy, and it gets handed to whoever is available. At L&N the owner is the one on his knees setting the stamps. We are licensed and insured, we have been pouring in Okaloosa County since 2021, and we do the block, flatwork, and remodeling around it, so your outdoor project has one contractor instead of three.

Stamped concrete questions we hear most

Is stamped concrete worth it compared to pavers?

For most patios and pool decks, yes. Stamped concrete is one continuous slab, so there are no joints for weeds, ants, or shifting, and it usually costs less than a comparable paver install. Pavers win if you expect to pull sections up later for plumbing or if you want individual pieces you can replace.

Does stamped concrete get slippery around a pool?

It can if it is sealed with a glossy sealer and nothing else. We use textured patterns and add a non-slip grit to the sealer on pool decks and walkways so it grips wet feet.

How often does stamped concrete need to be resealed?

Every 2 to 3 years in the Florida sun is a good rule for keeping the color rich and the surface protected. It is a simple roll-on job, and we can do it or show you how.

Will the color fade?

Integral color is mixed into the concrete, so it does not peel or wear off. The sealer is what takes the UV hit, and resealing restores the depth of the color.

Can you stamp over my existing patio?

Sometimes, with a bonded overlay, if the existing slab is sound. If it is cracked, heaved, or has drainage problems, overlaying it only hides the problem for a while. We will tell you honestly which situation you have.
